VISION

  • The presentation of autism in every girl and every woman is unique. Based upon your unique needs, we will guide your course of action and together develop a plan.

We know that learning about and understanding neurodiversity and neurodevelopmental conditions may be confusing, or overwhelming. Working together with families, and friends, we compassionately strive to create an environment where you’re understood, accepted and empowered for life through specific skills therapy, and through conversations that discover and build self-understanding.

  • At It Starts With The Heart, our vision very literally ‘starts with the heart’. We serve from a heart space of compassion, experience, and knowledge.

We focus on neurodiversity — providing support for girls and women impacted by the breadth of neurodiverse presentations and conditions, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder, Communication Disorders, Learning Disorders, and Intellectual Disabilities.

“Growing up EVERYONE told me to smile more- I would look ‘kinder’ or ‘approachable’ or ‘nice’. Just because I don’t smile doesn’t mean I’m not nice. As an adult, I’ve accepted it’s okay to be different and niceness isn’t a smile on someone’s face-it’s how they treat you.”
